Lease Program
AHHC offers a unique, full service horse leasing program designed for the new horse owner or second homeowner in the Southwest Colorado area. We understand that owning a horse can be overwhelming. Therefore, we have designed a program to take the hassle out of having your own horse. This is a great program for horse enthusiasts to jump in and experience horses without making a big financial commitment.

Requirements:
Due to the fact that the Adobe Hills Horsemanship Center (AHHC) still owns the horse in a lease program, we have set the following criteria in order to keep our horses aligned with our philosophy.

• Lessee terms of lease is based on a 12 month period
• Lessee is responsible for costs associated with all horse care for the 12 month lease- including vetting, shoeing, insurance and proper boarding
• Lessee attends a 2 day horse education clinic prior to horse being picked up/delivered
• AHHC must approve all tack and equipment used with horse
• Lessee will contact AHHC for all training needs. If Lessee chooses to work with another trainer, AHHC must approve
• Lessee’s horse is located within 4 hours of Montrose, so that one of our qualified horsemen can travel to its location to conduct an on-site clinic 1/month for first 4 months with the Lessee and the horse
• Lessee must provide current horse mortality insurance for the price of the horse
• Lessee will sign waiver releasing AHHC of all horse and rider liability

• If boarding your horse at AHHC during off-season, arrangements can be made to have a Horseman condition your horse prior to your riding season

• AHHC can assist with transportation needs

All AHHC horses are available for Lease.
